A New
Generation of Fish Farmers
We harness 30 years of experience with the range of aquaculture disciplines to create the latest technology to support the seafood industry
This is an inner navigation menu. Pressing on a link will slide you to that part of the page.
We are made up of a new generation of fish farmers; aquaculture and technology experts with years of experience and a passion for the industry. Working with nature, we leverage next generation techniques to develop a cost-effective, land-based indoor aquaculture technology which makes seafood production both efficient and sustainable.
01
Sustainability
Environmentally conscious
We make major efforts to ensure that our technology operates under the strictest guidelines, using minimal natural and other resources, such as water and electricity, and leaving as small a footprint as possible. The philosophy behind our technology is to enable the green production of fish, using environmentally-friendly practices. We believe the field in which we operate will lead to profound social change, combining nutrition with values of sustainability.
02
Customer Success
Nurturing our partnerships
We build long-term relationships with our clients, because we understand that their success is measured not only in a working facility, but in a profitable one. In order to facilitate this, we provide ongoing support throughout the project and long after the facility is up and running.
03
Innovation
Pushing the boundaries
We invest vast resources to ensure we stand at the forefront of technology. We own two R&D centers where we conduct various studies using cutting-edge technologies, with new species of fish and seafood. This allows us to continue to offer our customers the most advanced solutions in the field.
04
Passion
It's in our nature
We work with conviction and great passion because we deeply believe that what we do will have a profound impact on the nutrition and health of future generations.

Milestones
1989
MAOF Developments and Technology (Tirat Zvi) Ltd., was incorporated by Yoav Dagan and Nitay Goldman as a privately-owned company, based in Kibbutz Tirat Zvi in the Beit She’an Valley of Israel. MAOF was engaged in the development, planning and building of machines and systems for various uses: aquaculture, agriculture, slaughterhouses, food industries, recycling industry, ecology and more.
1991
MAOF started developing fish production technologies for its own use and for the upgrading of other existing pond farms.
1999
Gary Myers, one of AquaMaof's co-founders had established a pilot indoor facility in the US. Within this time-frame, MAOF also completed turn-key projects (design, structuring and installation) for major, leading tropical edible fish and seafood production companies around the world.
2010
The new AquaMaof Aquaculture Technologies Ltd. was formed by 6 co-founders in order to solely focus on RAS systems, with the understanding that this growing industry has the potential to become a sustainable gap-filler for the rapidly growing global seafood demand.
2012
AquaMaof successfully completes the construction of 500 and 1,000 tons projects in Poland and Russia.
2016
AquaMaof purchases the facility in Poland and converts it to the world's only RAS Salmon R&D center as well as a global training center. At the same year the company establishes a dedicated Shrimp R&D center with the goal to develop a commercial shrimp production platform. This will be available in 2020.
2017
After converting the facility in Poland from warm water specie (Tilapia) to Atlantic Salmon, at 2017 the company was successful in producing harvest-size Atlantic Salmon of more than 5Kg - proving the technology's capability and flexibility. Since then, the company has harvested several batches of 4-6Kg Salmon.
2017
AquaMaof began to focus on large-scale projects when in 2017 it was chosen by world leading Salmon producer, Grieg NL, to install the worlds' biggest smolt production facility in Newfoundland, Canada. This facility, consisting of hatchery and nursery, is in advanced stages of construction, and is designed to produce 7 million smolts annually.
2021
AquaMaof has two R&D centers in Poland and in the Negev Desert, and more than 10 large-scale projects worldwide - operational and under construction with combined capacity of more than 70K tons.
