AquaMaof - Bitmap@1x 2Five-Year Progress Summary   •   Key Findings & Advancements   •   April 2026

The past five years have given AquaMaof even greater confidence that our technology is robust and efficient at scale. Through sustained, on-the-ground collaboration with system operators, AquaMaof has compounded critical insights that have driven meaningful improvements to systems design, operational interfaces, and processes, with some retrofitted into existing facilities, and all embedded as standard practice for future projects.

1.  Strategic Conclusion

Five years of cumulative operational support and data drawn from multiple projects worldwide have produced a clear and unambiguous strategic conclusion:

Structured support, training, and direct operational involvement during the initial years of facility operation must be considered mandatory components of project delivery in all future projects.

This finding reflects a maturation in how AquaMaof approaches project lifecycle management, moving beyond commissioning as a final deliverable toward an integrated, long-term operational partnership model.

2.  Engineering & Process Modifications

A series of targeted engineering and process modifications have been introduced to reduce capital expenditure while fully leveraging the company’s core and proprietary design principles. These updates are operations-informed, translating real-world experience directly into system improvements.

2.1  Infrastructure & Tank Systems

  • Improved fish tank design addressing structural and functional components to enhance performance and maintainability.
  • Optimized settler management including sediment handling and tank flushing methodologies.

2.2  Stock & Feed Management

  • Stock management system improvements enabling more precise biomass tracking and production planning.
  • Optimal feeding system method identification and compatibility assessments across production stages.
  • Uneaten feed detection and recovery protocols to minimize nutrient burden and improve feed conversion ratios.
  • Feed quality assessment protocol development to standardize supplier evaluation and on-site verification.

2.3  Water Quality & Fish Health

  • Optimal ion balance for accelerated growth performance across all life stages, as well as elimination of nephrocalcinosis.
  • Enhanced disinfection protocols adapted to different production stages to strengthen biosecurity across the production cycle.
  • Development of an advanced purging process deploying AOP/Peroxone and GAC to improve final product quality and reduce off-flavor in market fish to below 100 ng/Kg of GSM and 2-MIB.

2.4  Lighting & Environmental Control

  • Lighting control protocols for smoltification management and reduction of early maturation events.
  • Light spectrum optimization to reduce cyanobacteria proliferation and off-flavor compound formation in production tanks.

2.5  Technology Integration & Expert Collaboration

Collaboration with specialized external partners has been strengthened across several critical domains:

  • Live fish transportation specialists for improved handling, survival rates, and stress reduction protocols.
  • Advanced feeding system integrators for precision delivery and real-time feed management.
  • Environmental monitoring specialists to enhance system visibility and alert responsiveness.
  • AI-based management tool developers for data-driven decision support and predictive operational management.

3.  Overall Direction

The advancements documented across these five years are not a departure from AquaMaof’s engineering foundations — they are its maturation. Our core technology has consistently proven itself to be robust and scalable, and it is precisely this operational confidence that has enabled us to engage deeply with system operators and translate real-world experience into meaningful improvements.

Through sustained, on-the-ground collaboration, AquaMaof has leveraged operational insight to continuously refine systems design, optimize operational interfaces, and strengthen processes. These improvements have been applied to existing facilities and embedded as standard practice in future projects — ensuring that every new installation benefits from the full depth of accumulated knowledge.

The result is a living, experience-driven development cycle with a strong emphasis on lifecycle efficiency, operational reliability, and cost optimization — underpinned by the confidence that comes from years of proven performance at scale.
